NAVSEA DISTT XR
Northeastern University partnered with Petricore to help refine two VR training applications, Paintbooth and Coldspray, developed for NAVSEA DISTT. Working alongside the existing team in Unity, we contributed bug fixes, code cleanup, art remastering, and a variety of quality of life improvements to help polish the experience and prepare it for continued use.
The applications provide hands-on training for skilled personnel in a virtual environment, making it possible to practice complex tasks without needing to be on site.
Paintbooth
Paintbooth is a VR training application that teaches the fundamentals of industrial spray painting, allowing trainees to practice proper technique in a safe virtual environment before working with real equipment.
Coldspray
Coldspray is a VR training application that guides operators through the cold spray manufacturing process, teaching equipment setup, assembly, and operation through hands-on virtual training.
