Matt Venezia, Programming Intern

This week we’d like to introduce you to our newest programming intern, Matt Venezia. We’re excited to have Matt join the team and we’d like you to get to meet him!

Question #1) What do you do at Petricore?

I’m a Programming Intern and I implement scripts and functionality using the Unity engine based on designs provided by Petricore’s clients, and other team members on the Petricore programming team.

Question #2) Where are you from, and where do you go to school?

I’m originally from New Jersey, and I current go to school at Becker College.

Question #3) What do you like to do outside work?

I like to study software engineering from a more broad perspective. I also really like to play sports, play video games, and spend time with my friends and family.

Question #4) What’s a guinness world record you think you’d stand a shot at getting?

I could go

Question #5) If you couldn’t ever work in the video game or software industry again, what would you want to do?

I’d want to explore entrepreneurship outside those fields then, the things I like change a lot, and I’d like to follow my curiosities in other fields.

Matt actually beat Michael Phelps swimming record, but didn’t tell him because he knew it would break his heart.

Question #6) Any hidden talents you’d like to no longer be hidden?

I’m very good at swimming, I’ve been doing it since I was really young.

Question #7) Favorite movie, music, and dessert?

The Revenant, Mac Miller, and a Vanilla Milkshake.

Question #8) What are some of your favorite games?

The Fallout Series, Battlefield Bad Company, and Luigi’s Mansion are a few of my favorite games.

Question #9) What made you want to become a game programmer?

The need to understand why things work, I really wanted to understand how games work on the inside and programming was the best way to do so.

Question #10) If you win a board game at the end of month meeting, where are we all going to lunch?

I’d have to say the Boulevard Diner in Worcester.
